Can you offer a young person work experience

Employer training an apprentice

Buckinghamshire Council Family Support Service and Adult Learning teams deliver the BucksInspired Traineeship programme. This programme supports young people aged 16 to 25 to complete a traineeship course, which includes; an employment skill Level 1 and Level 2, Maths and English functional skills, life skills and a work experience placement whilst helping them access their next steps into either work, apprenticeship or college.

We are seeking placements with employers from a variety of professions to give young people the opportunity to experience the industry and follow their goals into work.

The placement needs to be fulfilling and give the young person a suitable experience of what it is like to work in your industry. The young person is looking for long-term work, a college place or an apprenticeship following their placement if this is something you can offer that would be fantastic, but it is not a requirement, the experience and a reference for the young person is as valuable.

Voluntary Traineeships placements are between 4 to 8 weeks with the young person working at least 70 hours. This is free to the employer and we will support both you and the young person throughout.

If you would like to discuss offering a placement or would like to find out more, email Rachel at [email protected]
