Your childcare options

Lots of help is available to cover some or all of your childcare costs.

Help could include:

Funds 15 to 30 hours of childcare per week for 38 weeks. Available to all 3 and 4-year-olds, and some 2-year-olds. The number of hours you get will depend on whether you work, claim certain benefits or you or your child has a disability.

A scheme where working families get £2 extra for every £8 they add to an online childcare account. They can then use this to pay a childcare provider. This could add up to £2,000 per child, per year or up to £4,000 for disabled children.

Tax-Free Childcare can be used for children up to 12. It can even be used to fund extra hours on top of the 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare you may be getting already.
