If your young person is into art, they could visit one of the many museums or art galleries in and around Buckinghamshire.
They can also enjoy art from the comfort of your home by checking out Google Arts and Culture.

Getting active can be a challenge for some young people, but you can make it more interesting by incorporating photography.
If you turn your walk into an opportunity to take beautiful photographs, this can be a great incentive to get out and about.

Sewing is a brilliant skill your teens can get started at home, with lots of different options of things to sew they can get started in no time. From repairing old clothes, to making bags there are lots of ideas on Sewing.com to help get them started.
You can also try getting in touch with a local sewing club to help start with your young persons sewing journey.

There are lots of Youth Clubs in Buckinghamshire that run free events and activities for young people.

Scouts and guides clubs can be great to help young people develop their skills and confidence.

Code is behind lots of things we use and look at daily, learning how to code can not only be great fun but it can also help your child to develop their computing skills and be more creative.
CoderDojo and Code Club have lots of online resources. There are also clubs all over the UK which can help your child to learn coding in a fun way.

Conducting experiments are a great way to learn more about science whilst developing your child's skills to:
- make predictions and ask posing questions
- make relevant observations
- collect evidence
- make conclusions
Science Museum Group have lots of great Kitchen Science activities to try, using things you may already have at home.

Whether you sing and dance at home, at school, or in a class there are lots of different ways you can learn how to dance.
There are lots of free online dance classes on YouTube, and you can find dance classes near you on our directory. Many dance schools offer free trials, so you may not need to pay for the first class if you are not sure.

Looking into your families or hometowns history can uncover some exciting and interesting fact which you didn't know before.
Your child can try speaking to family members to find out more about where you come from, maybe you're related to someone famous or are even part of the royal family!
You can also look into the history of your home town together, most libraries have historical books about the location they are in too.
