Apply for 30 hours childcare for your 3 or 4-year old

30 hours is available to foster carers. You'll need to apply and reconfirm with your social worker instead of the online application.

To be eligible you must be in paid work outside your foster carer role. If you are a two-parent foster family, your partner must also be in paid work outside their foster carer role. You don't have to work a minimum number of hours or earn a minimum amount.

If you’re a family where only one person is the approved foster carer then:

• the approved foster carer must be in paid work outside your foster carer role, and
• the partner (of the foster carer) must be in paid work and earn at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week
