Buckinghamshire Children’s Services Grant 2024 to 2026

Information on the grants that are available and the application process.

Grants that are available

Up to £10,000 is available per project per year for a maximum of two years. The total fund size is £50,000 per year.

Start date

Funding is available from:

  • 29 April 2024 for year 1
  • 1 April 2025 for year 2

Who can apply

Voluntary and community groups that are charitable in purpose, are formally constituted and work for the benefit of Buckinghamshire-based children, young people and families.

Priority will be given to Buckinghamshire-based charities.

What can be funded

Grants are available for projects with a focus on improving educational attendance and attainment or supporting children with SEND.

There should be an emphasis on the proposed delivery in the 10 Opportunity Bucks wards (see below) but the funding is not exclusive to these areas.

Projects that focus on supporting issues which impact educational attendance and attainment (for example, supporting mental health and wellbeing) will be considered.

  • Aylesbury North
  • Aylesbury North-West
  • Aylesbury South-West
  • Chesham
  • Abbey
  • Booker, Cressex and Castlefield
  • Ryemead and Micklefield
  • Terriers and Amersham Hill
  • Totteridge and Bowerdean
  • West Wycombe

How to apply

Complete the application form and return it to [email protected] by 5 April 2024.

A panel of Officers will review your application and shortlist projects for review by young people.

The final decision will be made by the Director of Children’s Services and the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services.

Expectations

Successful bidders will be notified during the week commencing 29 April 2024.

There will be an expectation to return an annual monitoring form which should:

  • describe how the project has been delivered
  • who has benefitted from the project
  • measurable outcomes and impact
