Summer HAF Fun Days for children with SEND and their family
Join us this Summer for a day full of fun activities and science mayhem!
These free sessions are for children with SEND and their siblings. The activities are aimed at children aged 7 to 11 years. Older children are very welcome to attend if they would enjoy the activities on offer.

Activities include
- a science demonstration and interactive experiments involving chemistry and physics with Explorer Dome
- solar toy building
- outside play with frisbee golf, and parachute games
- inside crafts and games
Parents and carers are expected to stay for the session.
Food
A free meal of a jacket potato with fillings will be provided to all attendees. Squash will also be available.
What to expect
Explorer Dome offers a vibrant, interactive, curiosity-based science show. Hands-on demonstrations and stunning visuals combined with friendly and professional presenters. They will be delivering two 1-hour-long science shows.
In between the shows, we will have other activities inside, and if the weather is nice, outside as well.
Several of our community partners will be present, and they will be available for parents and carers to chat with while the children enjoy the fun and games.

- Whilst the activities are aimed at 7 to 11-year-olds, we do not want this to be a barrier. All children with SEND and their siblings are welcome to attend if they would enjoy the activities on offer
- We expect there to be around 35 people inside the venue, so it will feel fairly busy
- A quieter space will be available if children need to use this for short times
- If your child has specific needs that it would be helpful for us to know about, please contact us to discuss
- A parent/carer is asked to remain on site and will be expected to deal with any personal care needs or complex support requirements for their child
- If you/your child does not like the food choice on offer, you are very welcome to bring your own food
- All the venues are wheelchair accessible and have accessible toilets
