Free and cheap activities
If you need to save money this Easter, but still need to keep the kids entertained, here are some low to no-cost activities to keep the whole family busy.
Get your bunny ears at the ready, and together you can try out exciting Easter recipes
BBC Good Food have lots of tasty recipes to get you started including 5-ingredient recipes for kids and the 30 best Easter dinner ideas.
From hop scotch to eggy bingo and everything in between, Good Housekeeping has lots of egg-citing Easter games for you to try.
You can also get out any old games you haven't played in a while or try making up your own board games.
Bonnet making is a well known Easter craft, but there are lots of other fun crafts you can do together or the kids can do alone. Good Housekeeping have lots of fun crafting ideas.
You can also find some fun free Easter colouring pages from Crayola.
You can arrange your own Easter egg hunt at home. If you don't want to or can't use chocolate you can try hiding different things instead (but don't forget where they are!), such as:
- ingredients to make an Easter dish
- puzzle pieces to complete a puzzle
- small toys (such as cars or small animal figures)
- stickers
