SEND and Inclusion Strategy 2025 to 2030
Strategic priorities
The 4 strategic priorities of this strategy. These are:
- Early support and inclusion
- Education sufficiency
- High support needs
- Preparing for adulthood
These priorities were identified following a comprehensive review. The review covered the support provided for children and young people (CYP) with SEND across education, health and care.
A range of activities were completed to understand:
- the current and future context,
- levels of demand,
- local strengths and challenges,
- and the experiences of children, young people and their families.
Most significantly, these activities included:
- Coproducing a self-evaluation of the Local Area.
- Completing an extensive multi-agency deep dive, and auditing and forecasting activity as part of the Delivering Better Value Programme in Buckinghamshire.
- Learning from the annual Parent/Carer survey facilitated by FACT Bucks Parent/Carer forum and benefitting from their ongoing contributions to strategic and operational changes.
- Learning from young people through youth voice initiatives and ongoing feedback via Shout Out for SEND representatives and wider participation work across the partnership.
