Buckinghamshire has a wide range of provision available to meet the needs of children and young people with disabilities.

Education providers that children and young people with SEND can attend include:

• mainstream schools
• Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)
• Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs);
  • special schools
  • independent schools
  • further education.

Specialist teachers promote the successful inclusion and progress of children and young people with SEND to achieve their personal best, working in partnership with schools, parents and other agencies.
