HAF Toolkit for parents and providers
Helping with the cost of living
The Helping Hand team is available to help individuals or families in need, those on low incomes and those who are experiencing a financial emergency or crisis.
Whether you get in contact by phone or via the online form, they will ask you a few questions about your situation so that they can offer you the best support or advice.
Currently, they are prioritising urgent requests for emergency food and household fuel and aim to respond within 3 to 5 days.
For other requests, this will take longer. They work through all requests as quickly as possible. Only contact them again if your situation or circumstances change and you need to let them know.
Let us know if:
- you are struggling to afford food
- you cannot keep on top of your bills
- you are in debt
- you are struggling to pay for essential goods in your home
Request support from the Helping Hand team using the online form or contact them by phone on 01296 531 151.
Our phone lines are open:
- Monday to Thursday (9am to 5:30pm)
- Friday (9am to 5pm)
If you're in immediate need and your request cannot wait until the next working day, call 0800 999 7677
