Who can take part

The programme offers free holiday activities in the Easter, summer and Christmas school holidays for school-aged children, in reception to year 11 inclusive, who receive benefits-related free school meals.

If you do not currently receive benefits-related free school meals, but think you may be eligible, our support at school for low-income families gives information on who is eligible and how to apply.

What is available

Children and young people attending HAF clubs and activities will be able to enjoy quality holiday activities and a healthy hot meal at each session they attend.

Holiday sessions will run for:

  • at least four hours each day
  • four days per week over four weeks in the Summer holidays
  • one week in the Easter and Christmas holidays

You can choose and book free HAF activity sessions from a selection that will be on offer.

Use our activity finder to see the activities available and book your child's HAF session.
