SEN school capital funding
The Government has committed £215 million of capital funding to help Local Authorities (LA) create new school places and improve existing facilities for children and young people with SEN and disabilities, in consultation with parents and providers.
Funding allocation
In March 2017 the government announced the following funding allocation for Buckinghamshire County Council to help the LA create new school places and improve existing facilities for children and young people with special education needs (SEN).

This figure has been further uplifted by the Government in May 2018 and December 2018 to give Buckinghamshire County Council a total budget of £4,199,159.
Special provision plan
As part of this capital award, the LA’s Special Provision Plan has been updated in May 2021 (PDF/A 619KB).
This will form part of the revised SEN Sufficiency Strategy which will be consulted on at a later date.
