Local SEND Improvement
Achieving our aims and objectives
The SEND Integrated Services Board oversees the delivery of the SEND and Inclusion Strategy and SEND Improvement Plan. Part of their role is to drive change and improvement, ensuring we achieve the aspirations set out.
In addition, the SEND Improvement group will oversee the SEND Improvement Plan, monitoring progress against the actions in the Plan and ensuring they are delivered.

Specialist teaching consultation
The Specialist Teaching consultation closed on 9 January 2022.
All the responses are captured in the Consultation Outcome Report.
Given the mixed response to the proposal, we'll be delaying any changes until September 2023.
This delay will enable us to further consider the proposal in light of the feedback received. This will ensure we can be confident that any changes meet the needs of children and families.
The new approach will be communicated to families once this work is completed and decisions have been taken.

Every quarter we invite our Shout Out for SEND Reps to feedback to our Integrated SEND Services Board surrounding an area of improvement.
