Surveys for 16 to 18 year olds
'What Next' for Year 11s
Each year we have a legal responsibility to let the Department for Education know if young people in year 11 have the offer of a place to learn for September. We ask you to complete our ‘What Next’ survey to help us do this.
The ‘What Next’ also tells us how to get in touch with you in the autumn if we need to check whether you took up your place.
You will be able to ask us for support if you do not have a place to learn, or if your offer falls through next year.
'What Next' survey
The 'What Next' survey is for young people who either:
- go to a Buckinghamshire School or
- are not registered in a school but live in Buckinghamshire
This survey is usually available to complete from February Half-Term to GCSE results day in August.
In the Spring term we ask schools to share a link to our secure ‘What Next’ survey with their Year 11 students. You will usually complete the survey online in school, but your school may ask you to do it at home.
This is in addition to any questionnaires you complete for school purposes.
We will store your information and keep it secure. The law says we must share some information with the Department for Education. We won’t share your email address or phone number with them. We won’t share your details with anyone else without your permission, except our official contractors.
You can find out more about how we use your information in our Privacy Notice.
