Support for children involved in or at risk of crime
What we do

The Buckinghamshire Youth Justice and Support Team helps prevent children (aged between 10 and 18) from involvement in offending or criminal behaviour.
We do this by:
- working with children to provide one-to-one support
- supporting children with the requirements placed on them by the Police or a court
- working with and supporting victims of crime to be heard and feel understood
- working with parents and carers of children open to our service to support the family
- understand what support needs to look like
- engaging with our communities to support them in feeling safe.
We run several projects to support children. These include:
- mentoring support within secondary schools where the child is at risk of school exclusion
- voluntary support for a child who is arrested and on bail.
- peer mediator training in primary schools to support children to resolve conflict in positive ways
- summer activities
