Support for children involved in or at risk of crime

The Youth Justice Plan 2026 to 2029 explains:

• what the Buckinghamshire Youth Justice & Support Team (YJST) has achieved over the last year
• how we have performed against our key objectives
• what we have learned from children, young people, families, victims, and partners
• our priorities for the next 3 years
• how we will work to improve outcomes for children and young people
• how we will support victims and help make communities safer

We developed this plan with children and young people, parents and carers, and people affected by youth offending. Their views and experiences have helped shape the priorities set out in this document.

Our focus is on providing the right support at the right time, reducing reoffending, protecting the public, and helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes.

To make this information accessible, we have also produced an easy read version of this plan for children and young people. The easy read version uses clear language and visual aids to help explain our work and priorities.
