Courses for children and young people

We offer a range of virtual and face-to-face courses for young people aged 7 to 19 (up to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, or SEND) to help with their wellbeing.
Our courses take place in the evenings or in the school holidays and are based on participation. The average group size is around 10 people.

If you want to feel better about life or feel stuck and need some tips to move on then book on to our course. In this course you will explore:
- what stress, anxiety and low mood actually are
- learning about the relationship between thoughts, feelings and actions
- what emotions are and how they affect people differently
- strategies to feel better
- how to deal with setbacks
- planning for a brighter future
If you would like to feel more confident around people or feel bad about yourself this course could be for you. In this course you will explore:
- exploring values and identity and how these can positively affect self-esteem
- how to be assertive
- why social media impacts how we see ourselves
- how to cope better with setbacks
- how to deal with peer pressure
If you are in year 6 and getting ready to move up to secondary school, you can sign up for one of our 'How to Move up to Secondary School' workshops or courses. These workshops and courses help you to prepare for the transition to secondary school. The two-hour workshop will cover everything you need to know. If you feel that you need more support with the move, you can join one of our five-week courses. The workshop and the course will cover:
- What to expect at secondary school
- Making new friends
- Getting organised
A one-day workshop that runs during some school holidays, for primary school-aged young people aged 7 to 11 years, who may be finding one of the following topics challenging:
- wellbeing
- emotions
- self-esteem
- resilience
- relationships with others
If no records are showing this means the courses are either not running or are fully booked. Please check back for future sessions.
How to register your interest in a course or workshop
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If we cannot accommodate your first choice we will contact you when we have further dates available.
When contacting us please specify which course or workshop you are interested in. If you are booking on behalf of your child please make sure you have their consent.
Our facilitators will contact you before you start the course to discuss any specific needs you (or your child/young person) may have.
