Further and higher education
Introduction
At 16, young people will move to the next stage of their education. Planning for this stage should start by year 9. All young people need to be in some form of education or training until they are 18 years old and there are different options to consider:
- full-time education (such as sixth form)
- apprenticeship or traineeship
- supported internship
- part-time education/training combined with employment or volunteering.
