Higher education

At 16, young people need to start planning for the next stage of their education. All young people need to be in some form of education or training until they are 18 years old and there are different options to consider:

  • full-time education (such as sixth form)
  • apprenticeship or traineeship
  • supported internship
  • part-time education/training combined with employment or volunteering.

You can find our more information about these options here. There is also a wide range of support available including the Bucks Skills Hub and courses/training available from Bucks Adult Learning.
