HAF Family Events
Throughout 2025, greater emphasis was placed on working with local organisations to offer ‘family events’. This gave eligible families opportunities to experience new activities together and broaden their cultural capital. Across the 2025 delivery year, 859 ‘family event’ places were offered, with 798 attended (92%). Organisations involved included:
- Whipsnade Zoo
- Hughenden Manor (National Trust)
- Roald Dahl Museum
- Tring Museum
- Buckinghamshire Railway Centre
- Wycombe Leisure Centre
Christmas 2025 saw the return of the three one-day family pantomime and meal events. These were open to all eligible CYP and their parents/carers. These events included family tickets to the pantomime at:
- Aylesbury Waterside (92% attendance)
- Wycombe Swan (88% attendance)
- Chesham Elgiva (72% attendance)
The pantomime was provided along with a Christmas family meal and entertainment.
Due to their popularity, the ‘family events’ are an area of expansion for the 2026 delivery year.
