SEND Improvement updates
In February and March 2022, Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited Buckinghamshire. During the visit, they raised three areas of concern:
- the system of support available for our children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- the Integrated Therapies Pathway,
- the Neurodevelopmental Pathway and the Community Paediatrics Pathway.
We implemented a Written Statement of Action alongside the existing SEND Improvement Plan, to make improvements to support our children and young people with SEND.
The project plan launched on 31 August 2022, with progress monitored by the Department for Education.
We will share details of improvements made within the SEND service since the inspection and updates will be on a termly basis.
