Section 1: Governance, leadership, and partnership arrangements

Buckinghamshire YJST sits within Buckinghamshire Council’s Children’s Services directorate. The service is overseen by a Service Director.

In 2025/26, the Service had an overall budget of £1,703,596.

The YJST Partnership Board has representatives from statutory and voluntary partners, including:

  • Police
  • Education
  • Social Care
  • Health,
  • Probation
  • Community Safety
  • Community Victim Service
  • Missing Service
  • Substance Misuse
  • A Youth Support charity.

Buckinghamshire YJST is a multi-agency service with secondments/posts provided by:

  • Police
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
  • Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire Integrated Care Board.

Currently, there is no seconded Probation Officer with the Thames Valley Probation Service providing funding for a 0.5 practitioner post.
